The “Venice Zen Cottages” is a compound consisting of three 1920’s era California Craftsman Cottages set inside a large garden oasis. Located on one of Venice Beach’s famous “Walk Streets” and just three blocks away from the Abbot Kinney shopping and restaurant district, the Zen Cottages create a rare tranquil experience within the otherwise distinctly dense and urban nature of Venice Beach.
Both Ariya & Jhana cottages are fully furnished 1-bedroom cottages with complete kitchens, bedrooms, baths, & living spaces. Bedrooms have queen size beds & living spaces have full size sleeper sofas. Kitchens are fully equipped and bathrooms have vintage tubs for relaxing. Wireless Internet, Cable TV, Outside Grill and Washer/Dryer are there to be used or ignored - at your discretion.
For guests who want to venture out, take a house bike and pedal to the beach or to enjoy a restaurant on Abbot Kinney. Two bikes are provided for each cottage.
Relax and take a breath of fresh air as you open the French doors and walk out onto your own private deck. Take a stroll in the main garden or relax within Ariya’s additional private garden. Enjoy the ease and comfort of pulling your car into a secure, gated parking space that has room for two cars behind an electric gate. On the occasional cool winter nights, stay cozy and warm by turning on the gas fireplace.
Take a stroll into the main garden and relax on one of the Adirondack chairs while listening to the delicate sounds of the garden fountain and enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Relax at night by lighting the candelabra inside the decorative fireplace anytime of the year.
Jhana includes one dedicated parking space, not gated, but reserved for your car only.
Our garden was designed by the owners to be an urban escape - a place of refuge within an urban landscape. Enjoy a morning coffee, an afternoon book or an evening glass of wine.
